I just got my March Allure in the mail, and according to page 54, it says that they will be including Benefit’s new Roller Lash mascara in the boxes 🙂
My Pretend Place January Review
My Pretend Place has a dress-up subscription for kids that ships every 3 months. It costs $50 and you have 3 options; girls, boys, and neutral. (They also have a monthly craft subscription that costs $15 with the same option for boys, girls, or neutral). For girls, January’s theme was Princesses. This was a *huge* hit for my 4 year old! I was happy to see that everything except for the book was Melissa & Doug!
The first thing we opened were the 2 envelopes. One was a little story about the box and the second envelope contained a magnet and a handle (so your little one can carry it around) & decorations for the box. How much fun is that?
Decorate Your Own Princess Mirror: $6.99 The quality of the mirror is actually quite nice. It’s made out of wood and unlike many mirrors for kids, you can actually see in this one clearly. This is what my daughter wanted to do first and had a ton of fun decorating her own mirror.
Wooden Princess Stamp Set: $9.99 This was another hit with my daughter. Such a fun stamp set for little girls who are into princesses! She’s always asking to play with this (since it’s stamps, I keep it put up). My only complaint with this was how difficult it was to get the stamps inked up. You can’t just push it into the ink once and then onto paper. You have to keep pressing the stamp into the ink repeatedly and move the stamp around in as you do so. Not sure if we had a bad ink pad, or if it’s made like this since it’s for kids…
Don’t Kiss The Frog! Princess Stories WIth Attitude: $8.99 This is such a fun book! We’ve been reading a story every night before bed. Not your typical princess stories…these are fun and sassy!
Princess Costume: $29.99 This is also Melissa & Doug. It includes the dress, tiara & wand. I was very surprised by the quality of the dress!! Definitely NOT cheaply made. The seams are nice, there’s no fraying anywhere; and there’s even a hoop in the bottom to give it shape. My daughter is 4 and this dress fit her perfectly. I really am impressed with it!
Overall, the value of the box was $55.96. Not a huge savings, but this box was more about the fun and quality of the items. We’ll definitely be keeping this subscription. The items were fun and age appropriate (3-6) and the quality of the items is outstanding! Plus, if you use code PRETEND you’ll get 30% off your first box, bringing it down to $35 🙂

2015 has been great to me so far!
I have to say…I ❤ 2015! In less than 2 weeks I’ll be heading down to Phoenix AZ thanks to Pepsi. I was 1 of 15 winners in their ‘All For Football” Sweepstakes. I’ll visit the NFL Experience, dine at the Arrogant Butcher, attend Pepsi’s Hang With The NFL Pro’s Party, and SO much more. I’ll share my experience and all the goodies I get once I get back.
I’m also very excited to announce that I’ve been chosen to host a #DisneySide @Home Celebration this year 🙂 My kit should be here on Tuesday and I can’t wait! I’ll upload pictures of our Celebration soon.
Also, this Saturday I’ll be attending the Detroit Auto Show. I’ll make sure to take tons of pictures to share. And maybe…just maybe I’ll be coming home in a 2015 GMC Yukon Denali. I have a 1 in 10 chance at scoring a 2 year lease! I really can’t contain my excitement! I got the call yesterday that I was chosen along with 9 others to go to the Auto Show and pick out a key fob. One of our keys will start the vehicle and I really, Really, REALLY hope it’s mine 😀
Skintimate Mandarin Burst Shave Gel #SkintimateHappyLegs
I was lucky enough to have been chosen by Crowdtap to try out something new from Skintimate. They sent me the new Mandarin Burst Shave Gel. Now, I am very familiar with the Skintimate brand (it’s my favorite); however I usually get the cream not the gel. I just may be switching over…
I really like the Mandarin Burst scent! Very noticeable in the shower, but not overwhelmingly so. My favorite part may be the gel itself. It squirts out like this:

I obviously only used a small amount for the example, but I love how much it lathers! A little really goes a long way. And I swear, it feels like my razor is gliding over silk as I shave. I’ve never felt anything smoother! Absolutely fantastic! I definitely have #SkintimateHappyLegs!

I was lucky enough to be chosen by Smiley360 to try out and share Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies. I am so excited that they are in gummy form! Most of my vitamins are in the pill form, and I really hate swallowing that many pills. These are great because I just pop out 2 and go. Even better? They taste delicious! It says they are strawberry flavored, but I think it’s more of a Strawberries N’ Cream. Plus, the inside of these are slightly textured, which I love.

I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my nails! They are growing so much faster and they don’t “peel” as much. As for my hair (which is already super long; almost to my butt) I notice that it’s a lot more shiny and it seems to be a little thicker (which I have a HUGE problem with. My hair has been thinning out since I had my daughter in 2010),
Overall, I will definitely continue to take these as part of my daily regime. I’ll give an update if anything changes or I see any significant differences!

So…life has been extremely crazy the past (2) months. I was on vacation (cruise in the Bahamas…amazing), my entire family had the flu twice, I had 4 rounds of kidney stones and a UTI, blah blah blah. But I’m back & I promise to try harder!
